Ancaster Branch - Temporary Closure, May 5-31

From Monday, May 5 to Saturday, May 31, the Ancaster Branch will be temporarily closed due to a roof and HVAC replacement. During this time, service hours will be available at the Morgan Firestone Arena, 385 Jerseyville Road West, Ancaster. The last day to pick up your Holds is Thursday, May 1st. Central Library - Microfilm Machine

The digital microfilm machines at Central Library are not working. A single analog machine is available, but it doesn't print. We aim to have the digital devices repaired as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sherwood Branch - Basement Renovation

Valley Park Branch Improvement Project

Update November 29, 2019:

The Valley Park Branch is open. It remains open at the current site until late Fall 2019. When construction begins there, the branch moves to a temporary location at 1050 Paramount Drive, Unit #12, Stoney Creek. Stay tuned for details on the opening date of this temporary site. During the transition, a library materials drop box is available for members to return items at the 970 Paramount Dr. branch.

The new Valley Park Branch is expected to be complete by Fall 2021. Library members are invited to access library services and materials by visiting other area branch locations during construction:

“We’re very excited to break ground on our new Valley Park Branch this Fall. This is a vibrant, growing community and this new building – with its beautiful reading courtyard and modern programming spaces – will be a gathering space for all to come together to discover, learn and share,” says Paul Takala, Chief Librarian, Hamilton Public Library.
