Inaugural Graduation for Google IT Support Professional Certificate
HAMILTON, ON – January 13, 2020 – Please join us at Central Library to celebrate the achievements of 41 students who are the first to finish Google’s IT Support Professional Certificate.
WHAT: Forty-one students offered scholarships for a pilot Google education program, administered by Hamilton Public Library, now have the skills needed to find meaningful employment in the tech sector.
WHO: Hamilton Public Library is one of four public libraries in Canada to receive funding from Google for the two-year pilot program. Of the 50 learners who began the program in April 2019, 41 finished. That’s an 82 per cent completion rate. A second set of learners are about to embark on their learning journey in March.
